The short version
- Race entries and gift entries are non-refundable and non-transferable. No exceptions.
- Not training, injury, illness, double-booking, changing your mind or anything else that stops you racing is not a reason for a refund.
- Entries can't be deferred to a future year.
- Kit can be returned within 14 days, unworn, as UK law requires.
These terms apply when you enter TriCheddar, buy a gift entry or buy kit from this website. TriCheddar is run by the TriCheddar organising team. You can contact us at hello@tricheddar.co.uk. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
Race entries
Entries are made through British Triathlon, and their entry terms apply alongside these. By entering you confirm you are able to take part and accept the following:
- Entries are non-refundable. We do not give refunds for any reason, including injury, illness, pregnancy, work or family commitments, double-booking, travel problems, not being ready or simply changing your mind.
- Entries are non-transferable. You can't pass your place to someone else or swap between the Sprint and Super Sprint after entering.
- Entries can't be deferred. An entry is for that year's race only.
Please only enter once you're sure you can take part. Race entries are a leisure service for a specific date, so the 14-day cancellation period for online purchases does not apply to them.
Gift entries
- A gift entry is valid for TriCheddar 2027 only, for either the Sprint or the Super Sprint.
- The entry code is single use and must be redeemed through British Triathlon before entries close on 30 April 2027. Unused codes expire after that date and are not refunded.
- The code covers the race entry fee. It does not cover the British Triathlon Race Pass that non-members need.
- Gift entries are non-refundable and can't be exchanged for cash. Once redeemed, the entry follows the race entry terms above.
A gift entry is for a leisure event on a specific date, so the 14-day cancellation period for online purchases does not apply.
Kit
Hoodies, tees and water bottles bought online are collected at race registration when you pick up your race pack. Please check the size before you buy, as we can't guarantee alternative sizes will be available.
UK law gives you these rights, and we don't offer anything beyond them:
- Changing your mind: you can cancel a kit order at any time before you collect it, or within 14 days of collecting it. Items must be returned unworn and unwashed with any tags attached. You pay the cost of returning them. We'll refund you within 14 days of getting the items back, and we may reduce the refund if an item has been used.
- Faulty items: if something is faulty or not as described, email us and we'll repair, replace or refund it as the law requires.
To cancel or report a fault, email hello@tricheddar.co.uk with your name and order details.
Changes to the event
We may need to change the course, timings or format, for example because of weather, safety advice, road closures or venue requirements. These changes are not a reason for a refund.
If we have to cancel TriCheddar entirely and can't reschedule it, we'll refund gift entries that haven't been redeemed. Race entries will be handled in line with British Triathlon's terms. We are not responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs you've paid.
Payments
Kit and gift entry payments are handled securely by Stripe, and we never see your card details. Prices are in pounds sterling and include any VAT that applies.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
