Sunrise over the bike transition area at Kings of Cheddar on TriCheddar race morning
SUNDAY 16 MAY 2027 · EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR RACE DAY

Race Information

Registration

Collect your race number and stickers when you register on Saturday 15th May, 2pm–5pm at Kings of Cheddar. Bring photo ID and your British Triathlon licence. Emergency Sunday registration is available only by prior arrangement with the race organiser — you MUST contact them well in advance to arrange this.

Transition T1 & T2

Bike racking opens 6:15–7:55am. A marshal checks bike safety (bar caps, brakes), seat-post sticker and helmet — done up, race number at the front. No number, no entry.

Swim

25m indoor pool at Kings of Cheddar. You swim in waves of 4 competitors per lane, grouped by your predicted 100m time, so you get clear water. Front strokes only — no backstroke or butterfly.

Bike

The Sprint route climbs the Gorge to Velvet Bottom and Charterhouse. Super Sprint is a mostly flat cycle ride taking in beautiful views of Cheddar Gorge without the climb — just a small incline heading out of Cheddar towards Nyland before looping back. Both routes are well signposted, with marshals on hand to make sure you don’t take a wrong turn.

Run

Out-and-back along the old Strawberry Line footpath on grass and tarmac. Largely flat, with one sting in the tail — a baby Jacob’s Ladder. Don’t let the ‘baby’ fool you.

Results & timing

Professionally chip-timed by K2 Sports with live results on the day. Your race counts towards your BTF race history.
